Unfullfilled Promises

The art is beautiful but this book does not tell a story. It is a draft of a poject that has never got off the ground.
On the spine it lets you know presumably that it is Book 1 in a series, but you can go crazy trying to find any real info on where this project is going.
Over the last year I have wasted hours trying to get and update and I have owned it since the day it was released.
I would love more than anything to see it to fruition, but with the publishers and author both not keeping us informed or offering anything in months; I have lost hope for it.
It could be the most beautifully illustrated story in history if it was reorganized and finished in storybook form.
I hope the inspiration that caused it, will cause it to be finished one day.

Easy five stars. Hands down the best artwork I've seen.

Got it delivered and looking through it. IMHO worth every single penny just for the artwork, which is absolutely stunning in the landscape orientation. Again in my opinion, justice can't be done by looking at this on a tablet or a PC. It needs the landscape oriented picture-book form factor with you looking on from 8 inches above.
The added narrative is quite engrossing too, at least in style and presence. I don't know if it is possible to do justice in terms of substance and depth as an alternate narrative since we're talking about one of the 2 great Indian epics, so I'll hold off on that ...
One thing to note is that the narrative is non-linear, which is a brilliant ( and quite fitting) touch !
Note that this is book 1 of a series and if I'm right, book 2 hasn't turned up and I don't know if the authors will resume. That might be a turn-off for eager buyers but it shouldn't subtract from the good work done here.

Jaw Dropping Eye Popping Book... the "Avatar" of script books

I didn't buy this for Morrison, I didn't buy it for the source material... I bought it for the ART!
Morrison has produced some great books over the years (some haven't been really something I've been into) but this book could be his best. While not really a novel or an art book... this is more like a script book filled with amazing artwork. I haven't had the chance to read it all but the story has been compared to a cross of Star Wars and the Mahabharata.
The hardcover is beautifully put together and at around $17 it is a must buy for any fan of art, Star Wars, LOTR, He-Man, Morrison or the Mahabharata. Like Avatar before it (and its beautiful world and visuals), 18 Days is a MUST EXPERIENCE!
